Trena “B” Real
Trena B. Real LOVES to make people laugh. She is an actress/comedienne born in Port Arthur, TX and raised in the inner city of Norfolk, VA. She is the baby sibling in a large family and at an early age, she enjoyed being the center of attention. Being around an array of comical family members everyday was a true adventure, and provided plenty of material for her routines. Growing up in a bad neighborhood, she also experienced first-hand how to turn her pain into comedy. Her conversational-style comedy makes you feel like you are in her living room laughing with your best friend. She talks about being a parent in the 21st century, reality TV, commercials and her day-to-day life. With over 20 years behind the scenes in the entertainment industry, she decided to leave her day job and pursue her dreams of performing comedy & improvisation.
From 2004 – 2009, she was the morning drive radio host for the gospel station, WTJZ- AM (Hampton, VA), and worked for Willis Broadcasting in Norfolk, VA, where she created a gospel comedy hour for upcoming Christian comedians. In 2013, she was the opening act for actress/comedienne, Phyllis Yvonne Stickney, for her tristate tour. Trena was also the host of the Westchester Comedy Festival in both 2014 and 2015, and most recently had the honor of opening up for Gladys Knight & Stephanie Mills. Trena has worked in the entertainment business in many capacities: marketing director, business consultant and artist repertoire. She is credited with catapulting the careers of many well-known personas to celebrity status.
